RELEVANCE TO MAN:
Because of Christ, "The Lord will not abhor the afflictions of the afflicted."
(Psalms 22: 24)

The whole verse states,
"For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;
Nor has He hidden His face from him.
But when he cried to Him for help, He heard."

FROM GOD'S PERSPECTIVE:
Romans 5:8-11 states,
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received 'The Reconciliation'. **

RELEVANT TO THE ACCUSERS OF JESUS:

Psalm 73 states:

But as for me, my feet came close to stumbling,
My steps had almost slipped.
For I was envious of the arrogant
As I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
For there are no pains in their death,
And their body is fat.

Nor are they plagued like mankind.

Therefore pride is their necklace;

They mock and wickedly speak of oppression;

This God that loves chose to reveal Himself to humanity through His Son, Jesus. Yet part of His plan to save us from destruction, He chose frail humanity over majesty...lowly shepherds over angelic host...a manger instead of a throne and a dank cave, rather than heaven. Simply because He yearns to share His wonderful world with us. So we live a life obedient to Him and when the thin veil of eternity is torn and we see His face, we can stand with confidence that we belong to Him. How awesome!
