Arab-Americans rally in Dearborn for Gaza

Arab-Americans rally in east Dearborn, Michigan, on Dec. 30, 2008 against Israeli actions in Gaza. Waving Palestinian flags, the crowd of about 1,000 gathered in cold weather along Warren Ave., the main commercial street that runs through the heart of Michigan's Arab-American community, which is the highest concentration in the U.S. In this video, Osama Siblani, publisher of the Arab-American News and head of the Congress of Arab-American Organizations, speaks out against Israel's actions and Arab leaders, including Egypt's president, Hosni Mubarak. After his talk, the crowd jammed into Byblos Banquet Hall for another rally. The crowd, many wearing Palestinian scarves, chanted in Arabic and English in support of Gaza's residents. Rally organized by the Congress of Arab-American Organizations.
