i was part of this parade as 2 of the new guard :)

Indeed, the Old Guard Band, I am sure from the Coldstream Guards, play Pirates of the Carribean; followed by the new Guard Band, Grenadier Guards Band, playing "Royal Salute".
Then, again the Old Guard Band, but what tune are they playing? Finally it is the theme from Love Boat.

I concur . The Bands competition is more for the tourist anyhow.

Haha. Thanks for the clarification. I had no idea what was going on. :)

Well presented vid. The "Present Arms!" will act not as an intimidation but as a mark of respect and a salute to the retiring regiment. anyway i'll stop now before i become to much of a nerd.

The stupid comments and the "competition" made it more fun for me. It lasted almost an hour. That's a long time for my short attention span. I needed to make it into a game.

I pick old band! lol.. This is really weird to see.. how often does this happen there?

Every day in the spring and summer, every other day in the fall and winter.
I pick old band? I thought the new band was way better!

Thanks for the explanation, I had no idea. To my ignorant American eye, it looked like a battle of the bands. The "old band" never came to my side, so I never got a closer shot of them.

You didn't even say which one you liked better.
And please, if you're going to leave comments, learn how to spell and punctuate.
