I think the game desighners just done it for kicks you know in case of more discovery or maybe they forgot to put a bash wall there. who knows so many reasons.

I think the cave was there to have an egg in it, but they had to cut a couple out to make the number of eggs 151, like the Boss/Boxing in Dino Mines
