  • @christophleipzig Prague is so romantic!!!

  • Nice movement!

  • Richter once was asked by a journalist, what happiness means for him. Richter probably found the question stupid and answered just:

    "Walking around in Prague".

Probably funny answer... but on the other hand... very consistent with what we read about Richter's personality... and what we are currently listening now...

  • WOAH...This movement just made me shed a tear :O

  • I did not know that. Thanks for the information.

  • True, also the only (or one of only very few, but almost certainly the first) recording with the original piano score how Dvorak actually wrote it - not "edited" so it would be less awkward and more "pianistic"

  • Thanks for the guideline-the melody isn`t unlike Chopin, but more rhapsodic...odd piece but very sincerely felt. not sure what to make of it yet.

  • Fortunatly for me the first time I heard this beautiful Concerto was a recording by Richter. That was 25 years ago in Germany. After hearing it I knew that I had heard the perfect performance. Nothings changed.

  • makes me want to return to Prague. and fall in love once more
