Richter once was asked by a journalist, what happiness means for him. Richter probably found the question stupid and answered just:
"Walking around in Prague".
Probably funny answer... but on the other hand... very consistent with what we read about Richter's personality... and what we are currently listening now...

True, also the only (or one of only very few, but almost certainly the first) recording with the original piano score how Dvorak actually wrote it - not "edited" so it would be less awkward and more "pianistic"

Thanks for the guideline-the melody isn`t unlike Chopin, but more rhapsodic...odd piece but very sincerely felt. not sure what to make of it yet.

Fortunatly for me the first time I heard this beautiful Concerto was a recording by Richter. That was 25 years ago in Germany. After hearing it I knew that I had heard the perfect performance. Nothings changed.
