Abortion is not always a bad thing. A 14 year old girl raped that gets pregnant shouldn't have the right to get rid of it instead of messing up her life forever? Is abortion sometimes abused, of course. Abortion is a very viable option for specific cases and should not be made illegal just because you don't like it. Give the people what they want, isn't that what this country was founded upon?

I don't know why I'm responding to a comment from a year ago, but anyway....

When an abortion takes place, the fetus still needs to come out which makes natural birth a good option. The mother doesn't need to keep the child, abortion alternatives exist. Just give give the child to a church, or something like that, just don't kill the infant!

Also, "give the people what they want" is a very dangerous statement. Democracy is both the worst and best form of government.
