Seeing the vast difference between the personality of the actor and the CHARACTER he portrays is evidence of how immersed he became in the role.
As with others on BSG, but exceptionally Tigh (Hogan), his character is completely believable. I mean, people can watch Tigh and feel as if they're watching a documentary.
Saul Tigh = Salt Eye (?) = a SALTy person with one EYE
