You will need:
Vegetable Oil
A skillet
A ziplock bag (or use a funnel if you own one. I don't.)
Scissors.
A bowl.
Flour
Sugar
Powdered sugar
Baking powder
Sugar
Salt
Cinnamon
Eggs
Milk
Your toppings, which can be:
Real strawberries and strawberry syrup, chocolate syrup, apples, ice cream, candies, really whatever you want.
But you must have whipped cream/cool whip or powdered sugar no matter what. :)
Mix dry ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
After you've added the dry ingredients together, place the skillet on the stove and pour about an inch of oil in. Turn the dial on and keep it between 4 and 5.
Mix wet with dry:
Add 2 eggs
and 1 1/2 cups milk.
Mix it well!
Pour desired amount of batter in the baggy (or, if you're using a funnel like you're supposed to, place your finger over the hole and pour the batter in).
Test the oil to make sure it's ready. If it appears to be too hot don't be afraid to turn it down.
Now snip the corner of the baggy and pour the batter in in a circular/semi-crazy formation (or just remove your finger from the end of the funnel and do the same).
Remember to be careful because the oil can splash.
Let it cook for about 3minutes. When it's kind of golden brown, go ahead and flip it. Be very careful here. I found it easier to do with BBQ tongs (I think that's what they're called). While that side is cooking, get your plate ready with a paper towel.
When it's finished, turn the heat off and put the cake on the towel. Wipe the oil off the top and slide the paper towel out from under the cake. Sprinkle with lots of powdered sugar and add your whipped cream/cool whip and any of your other toppings. It's best eaten while it's still warm. :)
This recipe makes about 4 normal sized funnel cakes.
Just put the batter in something that has a lid and store it in your fridge if you have some left over. It should stay good for three days or so.
I hope you enjoyed. ^^
