Were you fitted professionally? Have you broken them in? Is the drawstring too tight? Try loosening it and break them in really well to soften them. If they still feel tight, have the fit checked by a professional. Gx

I just got my first pair of point shoes today! Is it bad to break out your shoe? I am trying to break them in but it's a little difficult. any tips? I dream to be a principle dancer some day. please reply:)

They do but it's highly unsafe, and if it goes wrong you can never dance again so I wouldn't risk it

Very interesting. Thanks for posting. BTW some years ago it was fashionable for some prof. ballet dancers (including one VERY famous male dancer) to have their feet broken in surgery, then re-set with a 'naturally' much higher instep! And some desperate ballet students opted for an operation to sever ligaments which gave the 'appearance' of total turnout! Does anyone know if those practices/ /abuses still go on?

Thank you for the endorsement. Did you get it from our website or from a dance supplier?

I use jet glue.

Some of our ballet customers, like Pacific Northwest Ballet, switched from Jet Glue to Hot Stuff after they tried it and found that Hot Stuff cured faster and lasted longer. Both are the same basic type of glue, but the results are different enough to make people switch when they try Hot Stuff.
