When you get popular on YouTube - whether it be through some good rants, good AMVs, good videos in general, - you seem to attract all sorts of people who put in friend requests.

Musicians, Art Movie creators, and... others...

A rant about the Myspace syndrome of random Friend Requests on YouTube.

P.S. Yeah, I realise the piccy at the end doesn't look very good. YouTube kills the quality, damn it!

P.S. P.S. I'm fully aware I ay the wrd "basically" far too much here. Dont know why, so don't ask. It was just some phase I was going through.

I don't mind random friend requests if they're from musicians, or anyone else with videos worth watching.. It helps me find new music and also new videos to watch. But if it's just someone who has no videos and I've never talked to them before, then I do mind. This isn't Myspace, and having a really long friend list won't make anyone more popular IRL.
