Rap legend KRS-One was the co-host for the National Hip-Hop Museum being built in the Bronx. KRS took the time to question the founders about their intentions.

  • I look forward to visiting an epicenter of Hip Hop memorabilia within this decade as it is long overdue. Let's truly honor these legends in the birth place of this culture. Why must we continue to hope that Cleveland finds space in their halls.

  • @DPerezmedia I agree wholeheartedly!!! Hip Hop needs a museum, and the pioneers need to coalesce to make it happen or someone who they don't like is gonna do it!

  • this what they new generation is doin puttin new generation rapper first then old skool last' what a stupid dumb

  • krs 1 4 Presedent

  • i want his shirt

  • Most of todays rappers are NOT Hip Hop they are only rappers. I live the hip hop culture - I wasd a B Boy - I was a break dancer - I wrote grafitti - I rapped - hip Hop Rapped! not the garbage done today. I lived and felt the essence of the culture and I know what it is. I know the history and what the culture is about. There are very few rappers today that even know what true hip hop is - Nas, Jay-Z, Common are amongst the very few artist (that are still out) that really know what hip hop is.

  • KRS is an important link to the founding fathers of the culture. KRS is doing what he should be doing - no one else speaks out like he does about the culture and it's preservation. A Hip Hop citizen is one who 1. knows and accepts the history of hip hop AND 2. took or takes part in one of the elements of hip hop - rapping isn't hip hop but an element of hip hop - the sad part is you can be a rapper and be the furthest thing from hip hop thats where the confusion comes in.

  • VOTE 2012 KRS ONE FOR PRESIDENT

  • I love KRS 1. He IS Hip Hop! We need to form a council of elders in hip hop.

  • have ya read the gospel of hip hop??i mean theres some positive shit in there but the rest is banannas

  • Can't say I agree with KRS....It sounds like he is selling himself

  • @lacgification you're a sellout
