@orestesdd The email feature is just one way you can connect to this printer but the potential hack you speak of is a possibility for any email address or computer that connects to the internet for that matter. This printer also can connect via your secured home wireless network or you can simply connect it via a USB cable then connect it to a wired router that has a networked printer feature.

@Second2Rush If you really like the thing buy the K510A that runs on 703 cartridges and extend the warranty to 4 years if possible. Then it's cool. Or buy a Lexmark Pro 209 :)

It's a great printer that breaks after the 1 year warranty and has the ink cartridges expensive as hell. GO AND BUY IT!

I would not use this printer to print sensitive information such as my taxes, DI docs, and whatnot. It could be a disaster waiting to happen and my personal ID and my family' personal ID to be stolen to say the least.

I don't like the idea that to print any doc one has to send the doc over the internet to a set up email address. I prefer to set up a printer within my home network where only people living with me can use the printer even if every laptop or PC at home has to install the printer drive. I find this way to be more secured and it is the way I do print at work. Could you imagine some hacker hacking the email address, and stealing all docs with SSN written on them and personal information?
