I have both games (they're hard) and it turned out that Groundon was an illussion, the giant daimond was a booby trap, Grovlye is good (he trying to save the future, the giant water explosion os in a cave, Lapras comes to you when YOU have to save the world from time stopping (that means having to defeat phsyco Dialga/primal Dialga) , and ya.
