Thanks for the educational video. The appropriate way to wai isn't easy for non-Thais to understand.

@BrutallyHonest3 I would imagine it's the same as a handshake in the west?

Tips on "wai"-- never wai lower than a woman or to a younger person, such as a child, unless he/she is higher ranking-such as your mom or an official. For men, just place you palms together at the chest and nod your head if you like (informal). For females, do as they have told you in the video but if you like, bend your knees a bit when you wai and straighten them when you come back up. This makes your wai look more better and womanly

Always good to wai when begging for your life from the Mafia. I can attest to that!

As to your question, since you're male when you end up a sentence, you have to you "Krap".
On the other hands, female'd ends up a sentence with "Ka"
For example:
Male: Sawat-dee-Krap. Sabai-dee-mai-Krap (Hello, How are you?)
Female: Sawat-dee-ka. (Chan) Sabai-dee-ka (Hello, (I'm) fine.)
P/S. I guess, you might have a Thai friend named "Ploy" before right?
