  • the prototype Fiero looks a lot to the 94 camaro,or a 93 Trans-am,,maybe thats where they got the idea!,,,i have a 1984 Pontiac INDY Fiero 4 speed manual speed,i understand there were like 2000 INDY fiero replicas and only 250 of those were manual 4 speed transmission,am i lucky to own one of the 250 that is 4 speed manual INDY Fiero???i mean i have research a lot all over and i cant find another INDY Fiero with a 4 speed manual transmission!

  • yes, i myself and many others have noticed many styling ques that are similar to the Firebird and Camaro withthis 90 prototype. Actually, if you have seen this prototype inside you may have noticed that the guage cluster is the "exact" same one used in the Firebirds from 93 and up. seems they canned this prototype but decided to use parts of it in other GM cars.

About Indys, manual/automatic seems to be 50/50. I have had 6 and 4 of them were manuals. A Fiero Forum member has the Indy vin list

  • There is 2 Missing Fiero's in that group.

The 1989 Formula Proto type used in the movie Back to the future.

And the 1 and only 1988 Formula 400 5 Speed Factory built 2M8 V8 car. Was sold to guy in FL: who had no idea what he had. Its mine and has been for past 8 years in stock form since the day it was born, Shame it is so rough now.

Great cars wish I could have been there.

  • Fantastic! You have a rare Gem on your hands! I would love to see some pictures of that beauty, or even some video if you have it.

  • Thank you for not dubbing in some rock song or something like that. Love the vid. Neasamohts said what I am thinking.

  • the most agrivating thing about the fiero

was all of the screw up that gm did with

this thing. Allowing the corvette people to

interfere with it's development, and the

crappy engines that it had. The fiero should of had the 3800 supercharged or the 3.4 Dohc v6 or the W41 Quad 4 in it.

Now guys are swapping those engines

in to it. And add no Power Steering.

  • Doesn't Fred Bartemyer own the Blue PPG Pace Car now?

  • Such a shame they got rid of this car. :/

  • The Indy Fiero Pace Car sounds AMAZING.

  • where is this at i want to go

  • Like Heaven , all in one place!

  • OHHHHH MYYYYYYY GOOOOOODD... the 90's prototype.. DAMN it sounds like a true pontiac..

  • haha double bass

  • i love those fieros, looking for one to buy but they are very rare here in germany, if you can find one it is beyond rotten and the good ones are already beyond my wallet`s capabilities..:D great clip here

  • The idle on the imsa sounded like someone banging a huge drum

  • The pace car sounded mean, but the race car sounded about three shades of pissed off! Not too fond of those wheels on the pace cars, and that GTA experimental would have to be my ride home.
