@GODbGONE: This doesn't have anything to do with 'governmental system'. Thais may have differ in their political view, but respect our King as father of the nation...because he has done so much for all Thais. And he really earns this.

As a believer in representative government I find such hero worship to be shocking. It reminds me of the worship of Stalin or Mao. NOW WAIT before you get angry at me... I know the King of Thailand is a very educated, hard working, and seemingly compassionate individual. I am not at all comparing him with those terrible men... BUT the worship of ANY man as something spiritual or religious seems so incredibly dangerous to me.
