  • no ray manzarek in that list??? aww comeon! he plays two keyboards at once in a different beat, its like he's not even human! the doors are boss

  • @blujay1337 Polyrhythms are nothing new, i'm fairly certain all of the people i listed a very much capable of the same

  • BTW Shellewell, you look and speak like a young Mont Campbell of Egg. Trying to place the accent; what part of England are you from?

  • @jonsilence Good to know you approve of Per (one of my favourite keyboard players) and Kevin Moore, who is definitely underrated since he pretty much made Theater's keyboard sound.

I actually live in scotland but withe English parents so my accent is a sort of mix of Scottish, mild Yorkshire and just kinda neutral English. nice to get a reasonably pleasant comment on my accent for once :P

  • Vadim Pruzhanov?

  • @Hermanligreat Too much ego, not enough skill.

  • Rey Manzarec is the best keybordist....my opinion.....

  • 5. Christian "Flake" Lorenz

    4. Kevin Moore

    3. Derek Sherinian

    2. Per Wiberg

    1. Jordan Rudess

  • So glad to see the fantastic and criminally underrated PER WIBERG on the list, as well as the equally underrated Kevin Moore.

  • chic corea, bob james, dave gruisin, jonathan cain, oscar peterson, bill evans, herbie hancock, lee michaels, brian auger....and more

  • @martin2sax mingus was primarily bass, yes. But a lot of those cool jazz cats had a deep understanding of the piano as well to help enrichen their understanding of harmony. That recording I mentioned is the shit!

  • @BobTheGreat157 He's incredibly good but not top ten, really, even Deep Purple's Jon Lord is better
