Incandescent Light Bulbs Soon to be Permanently Banned in the USA

Texas Congressman Ted Poe talks about the horrific legislation which would ban incandescent light bulbs within the next few years. As a an opponent of it, he mentions several of the problems with this legislation.

Contact your Congressional Representative and tell him/her to vote against this! It's based on bad science!

Also, since the dollar is rapidly loosing it's value, maybe you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. STOCK UP ON INCANDEDSCENT LIGHTBULBS!

Crude oil is refined to make all types of oils and lubricants, including heating oil. But the point is the government is empowered to regulate commerce. So it does have a say in how energy efficient products are, which is basically what the 2007 Bill mandates on lighting. And the government does set fuel efficiency and design standards for cars and airplanes. It's not a new power the government has; it was written into the Constitution.

You can use LED's instead of CFL's, although LED's are WAAAAAY more expensive than CFL's.

Jan-1-2012 the 100watt Incandescent bulbs will be the first ban.
