When Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) was a young woman, her grandmother's career advice for her was to get married. Now Rep. Maloney says that gender inequality is still a big problem in the U.S.

  • Carolyn Maloney voted for the Iraq war, when literally hundreds of thousands of people in New York were protesting in the streets against it. It was a highly dishonest, self-interested, immoral vote.

  • @beteck123 Beteck...I wouldn't contest that black people have and continue to suffer real discrimination in the US, but Black people are 13% of the population, and

white women are about 38% of the population, so even with no discrimination, you would expect about 3 times the number of white female representatives as you would black representatives.

  • @tawny624

Just wanted to say I admire your real grasp of the issues at hand and your moderated, polite and intelligent assessment of Congresswoman Maloney's achievements in Congress.

  • Maloney is voting to send taxpayers' money all over the world and wants to eliminate your right to own firearms. Don't vote for this filthy whore.

  • Oh this is the miserable democrat witch who used the n- word. Yeah! We're all united!!

  • even if Hilary Clinton won the election. Carolyn would complain.

  • No matter what may be said, the undisputable fact is that ,There is no more group of people in the USA that suffers more descrimination than the Black people male or female. Just look at the record, there are more White women as governors, senators and congress reps than there are Black(both men and women put together) occupying semilar positions. Just a coincidence?
