  • @LueShong thx to the nifty double wishbone suspension of course

  • VTEC

Damn the type R is amazing in everyday. And those Japanese can drive

  • yo these racing drivers are serious tailgaters

  • ,balanced crank, thinner headgasket, etc etc and just all around a better suited motor for longer periods of endurance. Then it just doesnt have any sound deadening to save weight amongst other things and a lot of body rigidity bars all throughout and reinforced subframe. Its a great car, it really is. Just simply stating that the price is so premium for a Type R that its certainly cheaper to build one and get better results. When new back 12 years ago sure, the diff of a few thousand aint shit.

  • Not really man. Any regular Integra can perform just as well on the track with equivalent parts, im not talking out of my ass, I know what Im talking about. At the end of the day if youre going to build a track car it doesn't really matter that its a type R since it wont have the interior anyways. Its going to be stiffened up and gutted of sound deadning and ac. A Type R DC2 is really just a GSR with a hand built motor with upgraded pistons, valvetrain, oil pump, higher compression,

  • @Felliph3 A Type-R would perform much better than the cars you mentioned with a "mild tune" and it would cost much less as well. Not forgetting the FACT Type-Rs have an upgraded reinforced chasis over the standard variants. Again there is no better FF track car than a Type-R.

  • @MujaRagHeadKillaUK is that you can build cars to perform at the track better and for cheaper than a Type R. It just takes some work you know? For example.Get an EG, strip out all the sound deadening and replace it with dynamat, swap in a k20a with a mild build, get sway bars, bushings, roll bars, height and dampening adjustable coilovers, recaro seats bucket or reclinable bucket based on preference, and many other mods. You will get a car that is lighter and has more power with a nice interior.

  • @MujaRagHeadKillaUK However they are not the only good track cars. You can build cars to have better performance than this though. You can build an EF/EG/EK/EP,DA,DC2,DC5,etc etc to perform just as good. Upgrade the suspension, get it cornerweight and aligned, strip off some unnecessary things, upgrade to lighter seats, swap in a B/K series with the same kind of work done to it as a type R such as head porting, intake porting, blueprinted block, balanced crankshaft, tuned ecu, etc. My point is

  • @MujaRagHeadKillaUK Hey man, I dont mean to come off as a dick or as an import hater. In fact I own an EG myself. Im a true Honda enthusiast.

To say that only Type Rs make good FF track cars is anything but true. YES they are GREAT FF cars to take around a track and drive it back home. Especially in stock form, there aren't many cars with this mindset. Im surprised too. Basically, a Type R is a base model that has been tuned from the factory for moderate track and moderate street use.

  • @Felliph3 What front wheel drive cars perform better than Type-R's around a track for 5-10 laps??? I bet you can't even mention 1 car...
