Arguments Against Gay Marriage: A Rebuttal

1) "We are a democracy, the people have spoken."

A) No, we're not. We're a representative republic.
B) Even if we were, you don't even believe this nonsense. If the majority voted to remove your rights, you'd make reference to the constitution and your inherent equality.

2) "Marriage isn't a 'right'. This isn't a civil rights issue."

3) "We should keep marriage traditional, as it was meant to be, between a man and a woman."

A) You DEFINITELY don't want to keep marriage traditional. Traditional marriage included women being passed along as property from the hands of their parents (that is to say, father) into the hands of their husband. It wasn't a union, it was a sales pitch.

4) "Marriage is defined as between a man and a woman, we shouldn't change that."

A) Really? You've come up against a brick wall and this is the best you can do? An argument from semantics? Oh, how sad. If your only argument is an argument against the possibility of a definitional change, you've already lost the battle.

yo WTF on my chemistry class there were two homosexuals sitting next to me! One put his arm on the other one's leg to get lotion. Omg that shit was gay. Then they were making out and one said "This is awkward" then they kept kissing. Homosexuality has been excluded from the list of diseases by the Medical association a long time ago, so it's not considered a "defect".

Second off, who cares that the earth is populated..thats not the issue. third...again population and reproducing is not the issue. You missed the point which is the fact that our bodies are designed to be with the opposite sex, the other way around is a defect which is being forced on everyone. Its not Marriage, this isnt a regular couple no matter what you try to display it as.
