ASPIRA visits Cabrini College

ASPIRA, located in North Philadelphia, visited Cabrini College on Wednesday, July 19, 2006.
Talent Search provides a summer work program called YouthWorks. This wonderful work program is a collaboration between Philadelphia Youth Network and ASPIRA. There are two aspects to this summer employment program: 1.) Employment Experience and 2). Service Learning Project.
The Employment program allows eligible students an opportunity to work for six weeks in Non-profit and Government Agencies throughout the City of Philadelphia.
The Service Learning Project is another aspect to the Summer Employment Program. This year's service learning theme is "Who Gave You Your First Break?" The students will be making a short film on the History of ASPIRA in Pennsylvania.
The Film Project will be an educational and fun experience for the students. A trip to Cabrini's English/Communication Department will be amazing addition to our summer schedule.
