Did you know that most high-end sports cars nowadays have automatics (paddle shifters)? They shift better and faster then most people could shift while navigating a track.
-
The 370Z with 7 speed AT is actually faster from 0-60 mph and through the 1/4 mile than the MT version. 0-60 in 4.6 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 13.1. Car and Driver did an article on it and some of the owners on "the370Z" dot com" have verified!

@JvKintheUSA you sold the Z? are you crazy? :(

wicked fast!
.....no

at the end of the day, driving a manual transmission means you're a fuckin boss :D
-
@JvKintheUSA i don't think he meant the automatic was a fail speed-wise, it's just more fun driving a manual car .. and usually people that buy sports cars buy them to have fun
-
@KakimotoRift 6 speed manual :)
-
@JvKintheUSA Yes, but is it more fun? I don't think so. I would trade a second during a shift to have a much more engaging drive. No auto can retain the excitement that doing a rev match and heal toe gives... That's just my opinion...
-
True. mannys are more fun to drive, but I would never drive a manual to work. The traffic where I live is a pain in the ass and the clutch.
-
@er1k93 so anyone can drive an F1 car then? on track, you have better control (hands on wheel at all times) with paddles... that and you can beat most people at the lights.. and that is fun :D
-
very sweet sound
Well I ended up selling the Z and bought a 2012 GT500 SVT. It only comes in a manual. Manual driving is fun, but slower on the circuit.

you can shift manually with the paddle shifters on the steering column or by using the stick-shift, or fully automatic like any other normal automatic.

370z Semi-Auto is better than any other autos.
Do you know F1 uses Semi-Auto
the last F1 to use Manual gearbox raced in 1995
I am still in the middle of no where about whether I should get the 7spd Semi-Auto or 6spd Manua...
