This video shows pspuae 0.70, An Amiga emulator for PSP running Shadow of the beast.

A well known amiga title that scrolls left to right. Jump, kick, punch and avoid a whole host of weird and wonderful obstructions, traps and weird creatures. Its really a survival horizontal scroller but with classy graphics and music.

It runs reasonably well on the emulator.

Check at pspuae.com for the RISS version, should save loading times.

  • Nice, but wasn't it running a bit fast on this?

  • pspuae's creators would like a comment on a game running to fast, usually they are a little slow lol.

I've never had an Amiga, so I'm not sure if it's to fast., someone said it was to slow before.

  • looks great but is there a problem with speed?

  • the game is very playable robjbray but yes speed isn't amazing.

Amiga Emulation on psp is so so difficult.

Most games are going to be slightly slow buddy.

This is the RISS version and load times are cut down by storing the game in memory, rather than using disk access.

If you like amiga games, try a few, some are nice to play on your psp, just takes a bit of time and effort.

  • PSP does not have power enough to emulate the amiga XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • yep ingame the emulator is a bit stocking but while loadin the scroll text is way faster then on real amiga :)

also while stary arround moveless the tahe (music) speed up a bit beyond the real hardware.

also try Minimig (the FPGA Amiga)
