Lol, the citizen kane analogy is really uncanny. Nice find

I am glad it was pointed out that it was not the actors' faults as to the final product that was this film. From what I have observed in behind the scenes footage, it appears to me me that Hayden Christansen is a very talented actor who gave the director exactly what he asked for. That is the talent of the actor to fulfill the directors requests and vision.

There's a horrible irony here as well. Lucas uses two cameras to cover reverse angles in the dialogue scenes, obviously to get the scenes over as efficiently as possible, with no thought for framing or blocking. Kurosawa often used three cameras at the same time, but it was done to focus on the performances and create visually arresting compositions.

Lucas is a hack.

Is it Citizen Kane, or is citizen Kane a rip-off of great expectations?

@TwiIight0ne That woman look Freaky and SMALL lol

With that said.. As a director he did SET an OVER ALL EPIC story and passed his goals in teaching us about life and influenced the world. but failed in to entertain his audience with all aspects of his scenes. As much as i love the MASTER Lucas, i have to agree with you, Great job on your video.

Wow, I have to agree with you in Lucas's Directing.. He has a mind a God, but he is not good in making a "EPIC" movie, maybe not even a Good movie, Some things i dont agree with, Lucas had LOTS to tell in his VERY SHORT 3 hour movies. HE cant tell the STORY of ONE character when he has more than 30 characters! and 100's of stories... I think he had to many ideas and had a problem in projecting his character's, YES his Dialog scenes are SO SO boring!

@SuckMyCOG You seem to have missed the whole point of the ending. Anakin is redeemed at the end of ROTJ, he kills the Sith. He tells Luke "you were right about me", refering to Luke being convinced "there is still good in him". So Anakin/Vader is good when he dies and therefore the young ghost not only makes no sense but undermines the redemption of Anakin!
-
When they edited ROTJ to have Hayden Christensen as the ghost at the end, I looked at it as they're ghost form is the last time they were "good" so Obi-Wan and Yoda were good right until the end while the last time Vader was truly a good man was ROTS (sort of...).
-
I watched this while sitting on a couch.
-
"And then Yoda tells Obi Wan that he should talk to Qui Gon's ghost - What the Fuck?!"
Best bit in the review
What's that film at 6:38 where that one woman is sitting in the corner of the room?
