  • Hey what's the name of that song during the last half

  • @dakidd120th I'm honestly unsure. I could go home and try to find the song on my computer, but I don't believe I saved it. Search Aztec music - youre bound to run into it.

  • so many things wrong with this story its fucked up. they were not known as "aztecs" they were known as "mexicanos"...me-she_ka-nos" and they never sacrafised anyone EVER.. that was just a rumor made by the spaniards to justify slautering them till there was barely any mexicanos. its also sad that this is what they teach in American Schools. the people that said there was human sacrafice were converted "aztecs" if you will.. there was never any actual history written by them depicting sacrafice.

  • ... sorry to disappoint you. I just made a video over the things that I was taught. I also used other internet resources. I researched for hours upon hours.

  • i agree the sacrifices occurred after the spaniards arrived to instill fear into them, i saw it on the history channel

  • @dakidd120th The song is called Icnocuicatl. It is sung by Lila Downs.

  • @skapadon

And "mexicano" is not a word in Nahuatl (the language the Aztecs/Mexicas spoke), as you wrote it out, it is just "Mexican" in Spanish.

  • @skapadon

No, they were known as the "Mexicas"(meh-shee-kahs). They did sacrifice and blood let in rituals for world renewal and completing what they considered was the universe's cycle. Almost all sacrifices were voluntary and there Spaniards did lie about certain aspects of them, but they did practice human sacrifice. Also, they were known as the "Mexicas" when they were nomadic, but once they regrouped after being ran out of the Valley of Mexico and began city building, they were "Aztecs."
