Ska Band - Big Fat Panda

Introducing Big Fat Panda to the world ! Body: SKA,SKA,SKA! Thats exactly what we are about and have been for years in some shape or form.Both Chicken and myself (Big Andy) kick started a wee ska band called Bombskare. Back then it was just an idea , a band to play to our mates as no ska bands ever really came to our neck of the woods. Bombskare have gone from strength to strength , blasting out there unmistakeable own brand of ska on the circuit.Originaly Chicken had written all of the songs (with a lot of lyric changes from me)as with his second project The Harringtons. Again all the original songs were penned by the Bold Chick felly. When The Harringtons split , Davey Gillan (lead vocalist) started up his own band The Skababs. Chicken and the members that were left soldiered on fighting to keep The Harringtons going , thats when Chicken convinced me to team up with him once again.We struggled through a couple of gigs which were ok but not great , it was time to make some changes. We called upon our old keyboards player Baz and old pal Jay to do sax , Titch stays on drums, Chris the funky kingston dreamer on bass, Deekz on second guitar, BIG FAT PANDA is now born.We will be doing a lot of the old material that Chicken wrote for both bands , tons of new stuff as the ideas keep flooding out and a few covers that we love.Still very early days for us but we are working hard to get a demo done and a decent set for gigging (taking bookings now through myspace).So to sum up , if you want to have a good old skank to a band that doesn't take things to seriously , get yourself along to see BIG FAT PANDA !
