For some reason, I could never get into Akiyama. I think it's that for all my other favorite puro guys, I have a sense of a character for them. Kobashi's this big, charismatic guy who's a broken down chopping machine. Misawa's a grumpy old bastard who elbows youngins who mouth off. KENTA is a punk kid who happens to be good enough to back it up.

Fans! How should I think of Akiyama? How's he feel to you?

Once upon a time Akiyama was the punk kid who happened to be good enough to back it up. He started out a lot like KENTA, but Akiyama's wrestling style is a lot more orthodox while KENTA is a lot flashier so KENTA stands out more.
