There are over one hundred million women in the world who have been circumcised. In some countries the mutilation and the celebration connected with it are an essential part of the cultural heritage. Now people are starting to question this tradition. In the community development project of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus the serious consequences of mutilation are discussed openly.

  • I am uncircumcised and a long time "intactivist" Attended the First two International Syposiums on Circumcision and the original researchers on FGM were Fran Hosken, Janet Parvati-Baker and Alice Walker. These brave women stood four square against this horrible cruel practice as is the issue of Male Genital Mutilation, both forms are the WORST forms of Child Abuse and shame on you people that perform circumcisions. YOU ARE CREATING SEXUAL CRIPPLES, this is totally intolerable

  • theres no major or minor genital mutilation this guy who was interveiwed ''habtamu woldeyes of the evangelical church mekane yesus has no idea his explanation was saying someone is half pregnant....mutilation is as it is mutilation period!
