In August 1806 five college students from Williams College in Williamstown, MA gathered to pray for the world. When the rains came they found themselves on thier knees, believing that God would use them to touch the entire world for Jesus Christ. go to www.svm2.com or www.thetravelingteam.org or www.perspectives.org or www.everyethne.org for more info
the problem here is that its hard to find ppl who doesnt mind waking up that early to pray. or ppl who have the patience to wait for God to show up.
In today's church, the smallest group is ALWAYS the prayer group, a small group of uauly older people, and they are konwn as intercessors.

The reason why they prayed at the haystack was because around that time, christianity was heavily persecuted. They had to pray behind the haystack so that peopel wont see them praying. and when it rains, they woudl CONTINUE under the haystack, not stop like what most christian students would do when there's a snowstorm and buses stopped running.
Revival costs something, its called sacrifice(rom 12).setting time, especially first thing in the morning to pray as a group, is a sign of sacrifice.
