While I was at the range on Friday, I wondered over to the gun counter, the 1911 section, which is ALWAYS too tempting. I got a new gun. Hope you enjoy this video as I tried a few new things in editing. BE SURE to watch through the end of the credits. I had a fun time shooting it.

Thanks for watching.

  • Just picked up an RCS myself fridayat US AUTOWEAPONS in scottsdale next door to Scottsdale Gun Club. Already put 250 rounds through it and just got off Brownell's website and ordered some Wilson Combat mags and Pearce rubber grips. Happy shooting.

  • Respond to this video... Excellent, another local. we should meet up one time at the range. Welcome to my channel. I appreciate the comment.

  • Man I went with the stx now I'm thinking of the c3 ... But it could be argued strongly I'm biased toward sigs though... Good video.

  • @sigsoup Thanks for the comment. The only difference between the c3 and the RCS, is the RCS has dehorned edges, I mentioned in my video how much I love the smooth feel of the dehorning. :) Welcome. I was going to go with the STX but wanted to keep it below $1,000. I like the mag well on it.

  • @RainmanE350 Under my Gander Mtn 30 day warranty, SIG fixed a broken grip safety and replaced the recoil spring. They said it was also in backwards, HOWEVER, it was in as described in the manual! This fixed the FTF on rnd 7. About 6 days after SIG repaired it, the grip split while I was shooting. Although built in 2008, SIG no longer has the thin grips originally on this gun. They want me to go find some, buy them, and eat the cost. Planned obsolescense. No more SIGs for me.

  • Just bought a pristine used unit for $699. My first 1911 and first .45 ACP. Love it but the last round in both mags FTF. I will try a Wilson and call Sig. Any ideas?

  • Was that a Ruger sr1911 you pointed to?

  • Good job - thx for sharing !!!

  • @Az1911fan That would be cool. I usually shoot at Phoenix Rod & Gun (Outdoors) and in Casa Grande (Outdoors), I also shoot at Caswells but will meet up w/ you sometime. Great Beginning by the way. Keep up the videos. On another note, I got my new rubber grips for my RCS and an STI black trigger. I'm lovin it. I also carry a P226 in .40 S&W at work as an LEO.

  • @carlosnunezpalacios It had an ejection problem. I sent it to sig twice and never worked right. the first round would eject but would jam almost every other time. I never totally lost my love for Sig's, but my affair with 1911's is my one true love, LOL. I am going to the range to do my torture test on my new Sig 1911 tomorrow (Wed).

Thanks for posting. I appreciate your comment.

  • Dave, congrats on the beautiful sig. I just bought my very 1st 1911! I got a sig sauer C3 which looks a lot like your RCS. Commander size with two-tone finish in nitron. Put 150 rounds thru it and am proud to be a sig owner. Nice vid
