Author and Jungian Analyst James Hollis PhD is one of the most prolific Jungian analysts in the country. He discusses finding your own individual path. If we indeed want to create a life worth living, we have to do our inner work -- something we sometimes forget in a shallow, fast-paced culture which seldom challenges us & spoon-feeds us comforting junk food instead of genuine nourishment. Find out what this Jungian psychologist and prolific author can teach us about creating a life and finding our path, a pragmatic guide to individuation-the creation of a meaningful life worthy of its soul.

  • @jestermoon By your own argument here you have admitted that He is God. Why then would you believe in any other? Why slight Him and rob His glory to worship a false god? His love, mercy, and kindness are shown to all everyday since He lets you still live and does not send you to Hell. But once we pass from time to eternity that chance is gone. And if you did not worship Him in life, why would you be with Him in eternity? And to be away from Him is to be in Hell and darkness.

  • Reading Jung's work is a challenge for me, but hearing Dr. Hollis saying it out loud helps me understand, I would recommend his books, thank you sir!

  • @LiveOakOkie you really believe that a loving god would dam you for not believing in only him? Why then did god make it possible to think for yourself? Try and think beyond your dogma, good luck

  • Absolutely love this! Very profound -!

  • We live in the 21 century how could Socrates say something 26 centuries ago.

  • the genie out of the bottle, the problem, for the Christian institution, is the holy ghost. It legitimizes and sanctions the original individual experience.

  • It's pointless to argue with a reprobate person. God may be ever speaking, but that through His word, the Holy Bible and in no other way. He certainly isn't speaking to you or to "Dr." Hollis. If you don't believe the Bible is the word of God then you are hopeless to ever hear God speak. Anyone who says "Christ contradicts Himself" is utterly without hope. You have rejected Christ, the only way to the Father and the true light that shines in the world and therefore what can save you from hell???

  • @LiveOakOkie Thank you for your reply. God is ever speaking. My issue concerns the infallibility of the Bible and those who speak for God. If one cannot trust one's own intuition (to a degree), then one must fall back on the testimony of others, who have their own problems, reactions, and lenses through which they see the world. God transcends our experience, including those who fit themselves behind a banner, symbol, or formula. It is a hard but gratifying path.

  • @andrjsh You seem sincere. I can't make you believe that every word of Scripture was inspired by God and is therefore not from man. It was written by man but under the inspiration of God. Its' a faith issue. But in order to have the information to base that faith on, you really should study the Bible diligently to find the answers to your questions. I will pray for you and ask that you do the same thing, study the Bible to seek God. How else will a man know God except through His revealed word?

  • @LiveOakOkie Thank you for your reply, but it did not address my points, to wit, the human origins of the Bible and the need for intimacy with God. The first takes little time, the second, eternity. You have your assignment. Do not reply to this but take up your staff with humility and seek God.
