You're absolutely correct about that. In the anti-war protest in Hollywood on 3/21/09 there was a counter-protester, with a loudspeaker, complaining about how the protesters were pawns of Osama Bin Laden. What he refused to acknowledge was how many of the protesters were members of Iraq Veterans Against the War. Sadly, some things never change.

People weren't lied to necessarily about being shipped off somewhere they might die--that comes with warfare--but in the REASONS the war was being fought in the first place. The reason people fight makes all the difference in the world.

Morale is down because of this, not simply because people realize they might actually die but because they and others will die for a senseless, indefensible cause that the Public was misled on.
