saw him on tour with Liberache when i was a kid,seems to me the story is that that banjo was Eddie Peabody's(his banjo hero) the banjo went up for auction and was expected to go for huge money,it was found out that Scott wanted the banjo and so nobody bid on it or kept the bidding very low.....i was 7-8 at the time that i saw him in concert and i'm 47 now so i could be wrong
