By the morning of January 8, 2009, the area in which I live in Sumas, Washington was under water, a combination of an immense amount of melting snow and days of heavy rains. I needed to run errands, and since I choose to ride a bike instead of drive, I had no choice but to get my feet wet (I have no boots, but I would have needed waders, anyway). I could complain about having to do this, but in reality, it's just another experience to add dimension to my life. And, while the water is still lapping at my apartment building, at least I'm warm and dry inside. I'm thankful for that, as well as having the ability to get out when I needed to.
That flood was amazing( I was there)
