@poppiesrule you actually should tap the anvil, so you can hold rythem and not "waste" more energy in stopping the hammer in mid air. Face it, there will always be energy loss, the quicker you learn to live with it, the better.
@gatorj3333 any stable sturdy mount will work as long as 1 it doesnt woble 2 you can secure your anvil and 3 its at the right height. i too am using an oak stump so you should be all good and if you want try and personalize it to give it that gatorj3333 feel
Great Video, this video answered a bunch of questions i had. But I have one more, what should I use to set my anvil on? Right now I have mine sitting on a oak stump. Will that work good enough?
