This scene is pure unadulterated Lynch, completely 'normal' but with an unperceivable hint of oddity over laying it all... or is it just me?

One of the best films ive ever seen. Doesnt ever fail to lift even the heaviest of hearts.

i liked this scene too... and the one where he's trying to 'negotiate' the price of fixing his lawnmower with the two bickering brothers wasting his precious time.

I lived in Laurens too!!! Ace Hardware is not in this building anymore. And some dumbass lit Alvin Straight's house on fire a year ago!!!!

Great film,but Farnsworths suicide soon after give it a more depressing,uneasy feel.

sig's parting moment with the grabber is great.. he gives a couple of "last grabs" and then lovingly and gently places the grabber on the counter. haha, love this stuff!
