  • great video! as an italian american,i would love to know how the sauce got to be called

gravy?everyone in my family calls it gravy too but many other italian americans say sauce.i think its a maybe a regional thing? we are in chicago and everyone i am related to or know call it gravy.i wonder if anyone ever researched the topic?

  • @chompo7 ...O'.....I did google...lots of comments came up.......but doesn't gravy sound so comforting and inviting instead of sauce....I think so.....:]

  • very good to see this still being done.not everyone has thetime to make gravy with "neckbones" like ma used to make.tried yours and i really like it .thank you. (also like the measurements by eye)

  • @KatrinaPeluso it sounds like home to me! no better memories than having macaroni and gravy at my grandma's house.

  • @chompo7 .....Anything can be considered GRAVY if it is meat based and or of meat drippings...think turkey gravy...flour and turkey drippings...right?.....otherwise it is sauce or marinara.....capisce' ;]...abundanza..
