Marchal Ney commited the bulk of the french cavallry against the allied center. The allies formed squares right on time and withstood the attack.
But you understand it better if you see the 1970 movie "Waterloo". Rod Steiger as Napoleon compared to Christian Clavier is like John Rambo compared to Miley Cyrus.
