A Polish fan of Tying It All Together wrote to me and asked if I could help him tie a knot he calls the etyszkiety — a knot worn by mounted bands. A funny thing about knots, different people call them by different names. What he calls the etyszkiety westerners call the prolong knot, and still others the prosperity knot.

  • This shows that you are truly a caring fancy pants kind of guy with a big heart.

You may have just helped a Polish guy and again showed knots to the world that is interesting and artful.

Oh your factoids are great also so please keep them coming.

    Thanks Shane

  • It's nice, I got it all right.

But how do I continue to make it longer without getting a break between the knots?

I tried to just make the steps all over again but there seems to be a break. Do I have to do it reversed with the initial loop on the right chord, any ideas?

  • Wooh, let's hear it for the melodramatic bass drum! Lol but really, great vid

  • Its a 1/4 inch solid braid nylon rope made by Lehigh. You can purchase the rope online (what I mostly do) or run down to your nearest hardware store (True Value, Ace, Lowe's or Home Depot).

    Hope that helps,
