Hi Dave,
My Name is Daniel Bell. I wanted to thank you for posting these videos. I am a high school teacher and I use them in my Construction class. The kids love them. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to buy a copy of all the construction related shows you have in a DVD form so I don't have to rely on you tube? I don't have much money but I should be able to pay for the materials, shipping and some money for your time. Thanks, Daniel 714 580 7177 cell

@toiletfan1 This is. The toilet you are referring to is called forward trap in general plumbing talk.
-
Did that toilet really say ACME on the bowl?
-
When was the washout closet invented?
-
That is not a reverse trap toilet. The trapway faces the other way.

What is the book called?

Thanks for the update David. So sorry to hear the plant is gone, but undoubtably for many who loved this episode(Including yours truly) and for those who worked in the plant the memories will live on. Many thanks for bringing back this special part of my childhood.
Thanks for posting these Dave. As a child growing up in BC this was by far my most favourite episode. My favorite scenes being at the AmStd plant. My dream at the time was to work in that plant making those very toilets, In ceramics class at school I would play this episode in my head and pretend that the clay pot I was making was one of them. I wonder if that plant still exists anymore or did they outsource overseas like everybody else?

@viroverfan2010
The plant has been gone for at least ten years. There are condo-type buildings there now. I don't know if they outsourced overseas, but it's a wacky world where you could build a toilet overseas, ship it here and retail it for $100. The energy, the shipping... It probably makes sense to the accountants.

hi my names tyler im curious all those toilet bowl cleaners that you put in the bowl, would it work also if you put it in the water supply behind the toilet

Hi Tyler,
There are products that you put in the tank to clean the bowl "every time you flush", but without some physical scrubbing, they're not that effective.
