Here we have the civilian gas mask. This is currently being issued to all civilians of Israel due to the high threat of NBC attacks. This is the gas mask model was also issued to Israeli civilians when threatened with chemical attack by Saddam's Iraq. Differences with the Military M15 model are the smaller eye pieces and it does not have a external voicemeter, so it can be slightly difficult to understand someone with this mask (not a game changer in my eyes). It has full NBC (neuclear, biological, chemical) protection, and comes with one sealed filter. It is made of soft rubber and fits snuggly and comfortably protecting the face, eyes and respiratory system against various chemical and biological agents. These respirators protect the eyes, face, and respiratory tracts of adults and children over the age of eight. This is my kids mask, he is fully prepared and knows how to use this mask. This is a great option, as Israel is a top country to follow when it comes to NBC attack preparedness. They as in the middle of much controversy and are always on alert for attacks.

Details:
Issued by Israeli government to protect citizens of Israel from terrorist attacks

Intended for use during the EVACUATION from a contaminated area

Will filter out all Nuclear, Biological (Anthrax and Small Pox) and Chemical
Agents

Includes an NBC filter

Filters last up to 8 hours depending on level of contamination

NATO approved

  • I was taught in the navy that one will get a better sealant if you're shaven...is that right?

  • @invasionB In my rounds, I have found that some beard is ok, but a large beard will not seal right. Even though the Israelis say it is ok. lol

  • Hey, if you do not put in a filter, can you still breathe in the mask? and if the filter was made in 2004, will the filter still be usuable and safe?

  • @Mrtotot78 Yes, without filter you can breathe in the mask. Under 10 years should suffice if needed in a emergency, you must always take precautions with surplus items though.

  • Are these rubber/full face gas masks compatible with people who wear glasses? That is, can you still get an airtight seal? If not then I guess getting one of those CBRN 'hoods' would be better?

  • Bring these to protest
