Rembetiko 1983. The "zebekiko tou Thoma" with Nikos Dimitratos. Kostas Ferris directed and co wrote the scenario with Sotiria Leonardou. Stavros Xarxakos wrote the music. Takis Zervoulakos was the cinematographer.

an extra ordinary movie that reflects the bohemian and sorroful lives of the Rebets who were to move from Anatolia (what is known as Turkey today) to the mainland Greece. I don't remember how many times I have seen this movie. It is not a simple story of catastrophic depoertation of the Greeks from Anatolia where they had been living together with turks for centuries, but also a story of the previous century Greece and Turkey partly. And, the soundtrack is beyond and comparision. Simply great..!
