Hi friends, I made this video to spread awareness about aspergers.

I went through great lengths to make sure this video was a completely accurate depiction of kids with aspergers. This video is 100% fact and not satire at all. Well, actually, if you believe that then maybe aspergers isn't your biggest problem, if you have it at all. So there has been some controversy about that fact that towards the end of the video I threw in the word "disease," I've had countless people comment that aspergers is not a disease... and they couldn't be more wrong. The word "disease," could refer to variety of things, including mental conditions. But hey, I know you're not going to take my word for it so I'll go ahead and paste the definition:

"a disordered or incorrectly functioning organ, part, structure, or system of the body resulting from the effect of genetic or developmental errors, infection, poisons, nutritional deficiency or imbalance, toxicity, or unfavorable environmental factors; illness; sickness; ailment."

Chances are you're all ready watching the video, and there's also a good chance you'll never read this description. But for those who have read this far and might be offended, I ask that you check your false sense of self entitlement at the door. I mean, if you can't laugh at yourself...

I have Asperger's, and so does my girlfriend and 95% of my friends. I feel slightly insulted by this, though it was probably the method of delivery that rubbed me the wrong way. I understand this was made with good intentions, but the artwork pissed me off. It made it look like Aspergers was on par with mental retardation, which is false. Aspies are actually very very smart.
