This is my longest video and they are going to stop and become much shorter but you will learn a lot about me in this vid. I am going to be under my own banner from now on and will support my friends on you tube who have always stuck by me . You know who you are but it is time to branch out on my own. The Demzly has done interviews with me in the past but this is me telling all. Being on you tube there is so much speculation , gossiping , guessing what one is all about I try to be as honest as possible in this video. People question about instructors , lineage etc. I have a good group of people who follow this account and they should know who is behind the camera. I have my faults and I am trying to learn as we go. I am not the best martial artist out there by any means but I will pat myself on the back and say I am a good teacher and care for others.I do not understand people on you tube who want comments and do not have the decency to respond back to their viewers who took time out of their schedule to watch your video and comment. I believe honesty is the best policy and one of my major pet peeves with you tube is the total anonymity of key board warriors. I do not like talking videos of myself on my account but more martial arts videos and they will be coming soon.

  • This is an admirable and honest video, I'm watching it right now.

  • @ShuriKurogane Thank you for saying that and I appreciate you watching this marathon video and commenting. Thanks again.

  • Thank you for sharing your history of your instructors. Learning about the different types of martial arts has also been interesting. I don't think one is showing off by discussing his/her Masters and the ranks one has worked to achieve. Like you said, if one technique does not work for you try another. Take care of yourself, and I greatly respect you. Walking the dog is a good idea as long as you don't have a pack of coyotes to greet you. Will touch base with you soon.

  • @piperlady56 Dianne thank you so much for all of your posts. I am more or less doing calories in and calories out like Weight Watchers. I greatly respect you too. I know about the coyotes Bailey and I have seen them on our walks they are getting more brave lately and will stand in our way. I come back with my accounts because of you and a few others.

  • @KungFuTigress2216 I honestly do not like anyone to start training in the arts seriously until they are at least 10-12 years of age. That is my opinion since little kids get so distracted and people use the schools as drop off centres for their kids while they shop. However as an adult I believe there is no age that you cannot start the arts , you can always learn you just have to know your body limits. I hope I answered your question.

  • I have to have you check with Weight Watchers as it is a lifestyle and plan, not a diet. You are eating 5 times a day. You can have anything you want to eat or drink, one just plans for it, and one does not gain the weight back. I lost 20 pounds with my fractured foot. I've seen some big guys lose 50 pounds in my meetings by changing to the lifestyle..see what your Doctor recommends. I can't eat a lot of vegtables at one time due to IBS but have found how to work around it.

  • Hi Rick, Google made a lot of changes, and I stopped by your channel. I think I have been one of your students since 2007. I'm still uncomfortable with You Tube, but I have learned so much from your channel. Thank you for being a great teacher and good friend.

  • @DTGtaihojutsu Very well Rick, you have enough health tips about losing weight, etc. If I may, trust your gut feeling about considering this type of surgery because your hesitation is warranted. If it were me, I wouldn't do it. On a lighter note, yes, we are all one tribe on this rocky place we call earth. :)

  • @vegdevil I know I am not old , I am just being a wimp. Grandmaster Hatsumi is the man and I will try my best. If I get a six pack I will not be able to keep my wife away from me (that will be a good thing for me) so six pack here I come. My one pack will have to go away since it is Molson muscle (a Canada joke) Molson is a beer company.

  • @DTGtaihojutsu LOL!! You're not old!! Martial artists never get old!! Look at grandmaster Hatsumi.. If it helps, I lost around 15 KG in 3 months, over a bet!! I ate nothing but oats/fruits/chicken and did a lot of(countless :P) crunches!! I was 95KG when I'd started and after 3 months I was below 80!! I've not gained much weight after tha.. Floating around 75 now a days after regularly training Krav Maga!! I'm about 6ft. :) I still lost the bet!! Cuz I couldn't get 6 packs!! B-)
