  • There's something very surrealistic and psychological about this cartoon. I get the feeling that Robert McKimson was trying to do minimalism a la Chuck Jones, but it didn't really pan out.

  • It's almost like McKimson's late answer to Freleng's 'Canned Feud.'

  • The opening titles have music which would be more appropriate for a crime melodrama. Does anyone know its origin?

  • When I first heard it, I figured it was something Lava might have written in his 'B' movie days. He also did the music for the Joe McDoakes shorts released by Warners so WB would have the rights to that stuff. But I don't know.
