NEW YORK -- NAMIWalks is a consciousness and fund-raising program of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The goal is to fight the stigma attached to mental illness - to stop society from the blaming the victim - and to raise some cash. Monies raised from the walk are used to fund NAMI's outreach, advocacy, education and research promotion programs. In this clip NAMI marchers gather at lower Manhattan's South Street Seaport to listen to some music and then proceed across the famed Brooklyn Bridge.
