There is only one 'original action heroine' & she is featured in the (1986) block buster 'Aliens' - Lt. Elen Ripley portrayed by Sigorney Weaver.
What made the character 'Lt. Elen Ripley' awesome is that, when faced with a problem she attempted to solve it 'by the book' before over coming it 'her way' -this made her character realistic.
As an 'Alien' fan - as far as I'm concerned the Alien franchise ended with the second installment.
Every heroine - who came after is just a photo copy.
