Shot at 1080i 60 - granted windows media compression plus whatever degradation YouTube does is not a great demonstration, but it looks good playing back on my machine.

  • I think I had it on auto. The sony cameras include gain control with the iris, so if you open the iris wide it automatically goes to gain. kind of silly actually.

  • @jmarcoj1 export as flash, no compression and it will be sharp

  • I have been looking at this camera, as well as a few other middle ranged Cannons. Does anyone know why these shotgun mics seem to pic up the white noise in every setting?

  • I also have a v1u, I can't seem to get sharp images out of it, i don't know if the problem is with the conversion when I import (I use capture now in final cut pro with the apple intermediate 1080i60 codec). if you can answer me, how are you importing and exporting your videos from your v1u to get this quality for your final result? and what codec do you use?

  • HEY I SAW THE SAME VID ON VIMEO!!!

  • why does the video look jerky? i mean the quality looks pretty good, but the video feels for the most part like a slower fps movie. is it because of youtube's compression that the video becomes significantly reduced?

  • Looks very good, im looking deeply into purchasing one of these.

What microphone do you have on this camera? Because I could hear the zoom mechanism on some of your quicker zooms, and I'm hoping that you're using the stock mic.

  • sweet. Wish I had one

  • I´m very impressed with good sensibility of V1. The external scenes was made after sunset or darkened day?.

When made internal scenes what gain level did you used?.

    Good test!
