why is elvis even in this conversation just because jay has more # 1 records? well we all know that people won't see jay on that level but who really cares? this song is dope and not even a jay-z fan but this song is better then anything out right now lol! atleast jay doesn't have to sell you his record like other rappers out now saying this album is going to be a classic and it's going to be the hottest thing out. he lets it speak for itself.

I agree with that. I mean currently Lupe's like my favorite artist and I keep The Cool and Food & Liquor in constant rotation. But I just feel it's too early to be comparing him with Jay. He's been in the game for 23 years and has 11 great albums out. He's already had time to prove what's he's got and now is just doing it for the fun of it....that and money.

Lupe can be the best if he stays consistent with his material and releases a couple more albums.

They are both favorites of mine, so I agree to a certain extent, but I still think Lupe is more complex in his rhyme patterns and has a broader arrange of subjects in his music. They are both really good in my eyes so that a hard comparison to me.

I think Lupe does it for fun sometimes and its not always about the money to him. He has expressed his desire to retire from Hip-Hop and the only reason why he is making more music is because of his contract with Atlantic. Jay is doing this because Hip-Hop is his business, his desire. While Lupe is talented, in my opinion, maybe even more talented in some ways than Jay-Z, I agree with you in saying that Jay has the drive. He tried to leave Hip-Hop after the Black Album but he loves it too much.

Actually they do, they certainly don't identify with cats like you with their lips pressed to JayZ's dick. I'm not a huge Elvis fan, but I'm stating the facts here. Elvis is a piece of Americana, Jay-Z is not.
